You may have a number of options for avoiding foreclosure. The important thing is to pursue all options and do not ignore the situation. There are many organizations and resources that can help answer your questions about foreclosure.

The West Cook Homeownership Center no longer provides foreclosure prevention assistance to residents. Two of our partner agencies, Illinois Legal Aid Online (simply type “foreclosure”in the search bar) and Governor’s Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network, have ample resources that link homeowners to foreclosure information and agencies that offer services designed to keep people in their homes.
